We were absolutely delighted to take home the Innovation in Low Carbon Technology Award at last night’s Future Leap Sustainable Business Awards (8th November)!
The awards, which took place at The Bristol Hotel, were sponsored by Thought Quarter with a dinner sponsored by Bristol City Leap, and marked the finale to the 2023 Festival of Sustainable Business, aligning with Bristol’s One City plans.
The evening celebrated businesses that are standing out as leaders in sustainability and are recognised for their contributions towards people, profit and the planet.
The Innovation in Low Carbon Technology Award sponsored by EQUANS, recognises that installation of low-carbon technology is crucial in the transition to net zero, and celebrates innovative changes in working that put low-carbon solutions at the forefront of productivity.
The Bottle Yard team were proud to be nominated for the groundbreaking community-owned 1MWp solar rooftop array that powers our new TBY2 facility, funded by Bristol Energy Cooperative and delivered in partnership with Bristol City Council’s Energy Service.
Other award categories included:
- Social Sustainability – awarded to SWIG Finance;
- Biodiversity – awarded to Belmont Estate;
- Circular Economy and Waste – awarded to Oat Float; and
- Communicating the Climate and Ecological Emergency – awarded to Avon Wildlife Trust.
Congratulations to all the nominees and winners whose work was celebrated by the awards!
