It may be busy on site but this year’s Summer Bottle Yard BBQ provided the perfect excuse for many crew and on-site companies working at the Studios to socialise at the end of the working day – and make some new connections.
In such a fast-paced industry, occasions like these provide a really important opportunity for freelancers and in-house employees to come together and network.
We even managed to capture a group shot (above) of some of the crowd proudly displaying Bristol’s recent City of Film Global Production Award.

This year we were also able to invite along the 15 trainees from the second round of our Workforce Development Programme. They definitely made the most of the opportunity to chat with Bottle Yard and Bristol Film Office team and a wide range of working professionals, building valuable new contacts that they will hopefully carry on into the future.
And of course, it was the ideal moment crack out the selfie frame and raid the costume/prop stores!
A big thank you to everyone who came along, and of course to Reel Café Manager Ben Templar for his great skills on the grills!
