After five years and five series, Mammoth Screen has wrapped production at The Bottle Yard on BBC One’s Poldark for the final time.
The award-winning BBC One drama set in 18th Century Cornwall, starring Aidan Turner and Eleanor Tomlinson, filmed its first series based at the Studios in 2014. With each new series, the production’s ‘studio footprint’ has grown, reaching a total of 18 interior sets situated in three studios.

Sets at The Bottle Yard included the interiors of five houses; Poldark’s ‘Nampara’ home in Cornwall and his London town house, the Warleggans homes in Cornwall and London, and the Whitworth Vicarage. An impressive period-correct scale replica of the House of Commons was created for series 4 and 5.
The fifth and final series began principal production at the beginning of September 2018 on location in Cornwall before moving to shoot interiors at The Bottle Yard.
Series 5 will air on BBC One later this year. You can spot teasers of it in the BBC’s newly released 2019 drama trailer:
