We were pleased to be a part of BAFTA albert’s sustainability conference which took place yesterday (10 May) at the Media Production & Technology Show at Olympia London.
Our Business & Operations Manager Kat Nash was a panelist for ‘The Studio Sustainability Standard: How Studios Are Turning Green’ session. Chaired by Steve Smith, Project Lead for the Studio Sustainability Standard, the panel also featured representation from Maidstone Studios, IMG Studios (both of which, like TBY2, achieved a ‘Very Good’ rating in the first round of the Standard) and global engineering and consulting firm Arup.
The panel discussed the new sustainability rating programme, which was “built by studios for studios”, and talked about how the standard will develop going forward. Kat shared The Bottle Yard’s TBY2 case study alongside the other studios and the panel discussed what more studios can do to reduce their carbon footprints.
