We’re delighted to share that CAMERA, our newest on-site tenants, are nearing the opening of their brand-new Motion Capture Innovation Studio situated in The Bottle Yard’s Tank House 3 (pictured above).
Eva Martino has been appointed as the new Creative Producer responsible for managing CAMERA’s operations at The Bottle Yard Studios. She says: “We are now very close to being able to open the doors of CAMERA’s second studio at The Bottle Yard. In line with the end of COVID-19 restrictions, from late June we will start hosting a series of presentations, workshops, and motion capture studio time to SME’s in the field of creative production, health, sport and rehabilitation.
“We are very excited to be based right in the heart of the South West’s TV film and production headquarters at The Bottle Yard. Our new state-of-the-art digital innovation facility is offering 12 hours tailored support to companies, with funding from ERDF (European Regional Development Fund) via ESIF (European Structural and Investment Funds). Our technicians have been busy setting up the space, placing more than twenty cameras around the Studio which will enable all kinds of opportunities, like experimenting with metahuman experiences or avatar creation pipelines to name a few!”
Other collaboration areas will include; development of high end and affordable motion capture and analysis technologies for creative content generation for gaming, film, TV, VR and AR; dual location real time streaming of motion capture data for live performances; development of intelligent tools for post-production in VFX; development of next generation performance analysis and physical rehabilitation tools for the sports and healthcare sectors.
