The powerful story of a Bristol man wrongfully accused of murder
Filming wrapped just before Christmas on the powerful ITV drama The Lost Honour of Christopher Jefferies, based on the story of the retired schoolteacher wrongfully accused of murdering 25 year-old landscape architect Joanna Yeates in Bristol in 2010.
The two part drama starring Jason Watkins (Being Human, Psychoville, Little Dorrit), pictured above, made The Bottle Yard Studios its home for the duration of the shoot which began in early November, setting up base in our production offices and recreating the interior of Jefferies’ flat and police interview room in our spacious Tank House 2.
Written by Golden Globe and BAFTA award winner Peter Morgan (The Queen, Frost Nixon), and directed by BAFTA award winner Roger Michell (Notting Hill) who happens to be a former pupil of Mr Jefferies, the drama begins the day before Yeates’ disappearance, and tells the story of how the arrest affected Jefferies’ life. Supporting cast includes Peter Polycarpou and Shaun Parkes, who play Jefferies’ legal team.
Filming completed on 20 December and we now eagerly await its release on ITV1 this Spring.
