‘Deal or No Deal’ moves production to The Bottle Yard Studios
The high rating Channel 4 gameshow ‘Deal or No Deal’ is the latest production to set up home at The Bottle Yard Studios. The show is made by Endemol for Channel 4, with production facilities provided by BBC Studios and Post Production.
The huge, flexible space offered by The Bottle Yard Studios, means it is well-placed to meet the needs of this hugely popular gameshow. One of our 3,000 square metre warehouse units has been transformed into a fully functioning studio and post production facility. The technical fit-out was delivered in just four weeks, in time for the start of series ten which began recording on 28 October 2013.
Fiona Francombe, Client Liaison and Site Manager for The Bottle Yard Studios, said: “We are delighted to have the Deal or No Deal team joining us. We’re lucky to have a huge amount of flexible space as part of The Bottle Yard Studios complex – meaning BBC Studios and Post Production are able to build a self-contained bespoke studio to meet all the needs of the Deal or No Deal production.”
As well as technical facilities, there are audience-holding, costume and make-up areas, dressing rooms, production offices, catering area and edit suites – all located within the same warehouse space. This has made it highly convenient for the production team and enhanced the security of the site. The work was led by BBC Studios and Post Production with investment from the Homes and Communities Agency and Bristol City Council to provide the necessary infrastructure.
We’d like to give a warm welcome to the Deal or No Deal team. It’s great to have them on site.
